Developmental Evaluations
CDC's transdisciplinary team is comprised of clinicians from
a variety of disciplines. Core members of the team may include
the family, a Licensed Clinical (Ph.D.) Psychologist, Speech
and Language Pathologist, Physical or Occupational Therapist,
Social Worker or Family Support Specialist, and consulting
Medical Director. Audiology is available if appropriate. The
composition varies according to the unique needs and choices
of the individual/family. CDC prides itself in having well-established
teams that have worked together in some cases as long as eight
years..
Parents and other individuals involved in the life of the
person being evaluated are encouraged to participate as essential
team members, and the extent of participation occurring according
to the individual or family's preference and comfort.
All team members are available before, during, and following
the evaluation to consult with the family on questions about
the process, assist with completion of testing, and/or to
share information important in making accurate diagnoses or
outcome statements.
